Badminton Competitions for Schools in Kent
In 2008/9 an additional 3 SSPs have registered in Kent to deliver a Badminton tournament as part of the National Inter-Schools Badminton Championships. The closing date for entries has now passed and the 7 SSPs competing are as follows:

Badminton Competitions - 2007/8
In 2007/8 there were tournaments accomodating schools from four SSPs; Medway (x2), Tunbridge Wells SSP and Tonbridge and West Kent SSP. Winners from these competitions progressed through to the County Final. The County Final Winners shown below progressed through to the Regional Round in March 2008.

| National School Badminton Competitions - KS3 & KS4 | |||
National School Badminton Competitions - KS3 & KS4 In 2006/07 Badminton England piloted a new National Inter-Schools Badminton Competition following the legacy of the Top Schools Badminton Competition. It was extremely successful and as a result the 2007/08 competition was extended to all schools in England (including Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Guernsey & Jersey). Format There are four inter-school events split by gender and age as follows: Boys years 7, 8, 9 (all events comprise teams of 4 or 5 players) Boys years 10, 11 Girls years 7, 8, 9 Girls years 10, 11 There are four rounds of each event; culminating in National Finals: Round 1 - SSP (by Friday 12th December, 2008) Round 2 - County (by Friday 30th January, 2009) Round 3 - Regional (during the week of 23rd-27th February, 2009) Round 3 - National Saturday 25th April (KS4) and Sunday 26th April, 2009. Matches consist of singles and doubles games with all players competing in 2 games per match. The number of matches depend on teh number of overall teams competing. Who can enter? Individual schools (£10 each) SSPs as a whole partnership (£56 covers all schools within that SSP)
Entries for the 2008/9 competition must be submitted by September 26th 2008. What is the aim? The Championships will provide uniform competitive school badminton for Key Stages 3 and 4 across the whole of England by:
